Objectives

The objectives of the programme are to:

  • Equip students with theoretical, conceptual and practical skills needed to design and supervise the construction of building services
  • Provide students with critical and analytical skills needed to perform professional tasks such as the selection of sustainable electronic and mechanical equipment used in buildings.
  • Build the capacity of students to conduct research in existing and new developmental trends in the construction industry.
  • Equip students with transferable hands-on skills such as designing, drawing, fixing of electrical, plumbing installations, security systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Equip students with entrepreneurial knowledge needed to propel them into business, especially the construction industry.
  • Equip students with the knowledge in professional ethics in the construction industry and the implications of noncompliance.
