Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has commenced the construction a four-storey building at Adako Jachie to house two of its faculties. They are Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology (FCAT) and the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST). The completion of the building and relocation of those two faculties will bring the total number of faculties at the Adako Jachie campus to three. It will be recalled that in 2019, the Faculty of Built and Natural Environment (FBNE) was relocated to the Adako Jachie campus. The project which is being carried out by AECON Complex Limited is funded from the University's own internally generated fund (IGF) with an estimated cost of GH₵14,000,000. The project comes with lecture halls, library and offices. The building which will additionally enhance the beauty of the Campus will ensure that the main Amakom campus of KsTU is decongested. Again, plans are far advanced to completely construct the road from the Adako Jachie campus to the main Accra-Kumasi highway. At the signing of the contract to construct the four-storey building, Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw, the Vice Chancellor of the University underscored the need for the Contractor Mr. Peter Kwadwo E. Mensah to do diligent work and charged him to deliver the project on time. Some members of Senior Management present at the signing of the contract also affirmed their willingness to help make the project successful. The Director of Finance Mr. James Osei Brobbey assured the Contractor that his Directorate will do whatever it takes to ensure a smooth delivery of the project. Mr. Peter Kwadwo E. Mensah the CEO and Contractor of AECON Complex Limited expressed satisfaction for the support and promised to do an excellent job for KsTU. He mentioned that even though, the first project he did for the Institution was challenging he expressed optimism that the current project will be smoother with improved approach and quality of work.
