Departments

The Department of Liberal Studies is one of the six (6) departments under the Faculty of Business and Management Studies. The department now runs a 2-year Diploma in Mass Communication

The Marketing Department is committed to educating professionals and experts who will make a difference in the field of marketing. The Department trains and produces graduates with the requisite skills, abilities and competencies that are needed in the industry.  The Department is well-equipped with wealth of acclaimed academic staff who provide a stimulating environment for study and research. Also, students are guided and supported throughout their study to achieve their academic and professional goals. 

 

The Department of Secretaryship and Management Studies is under the Faculty of Business and Management Studies.  Since 1992, the department has been training students for the award of Higher National Diploma certificate in Secretaryship and Management Studies.  The programme is, intended to acquaint students with basic management principles, concepts and the practices that managers employ or carry out in accomplishing organizational goals.  Students are exposed to basic concepts of management which enables them to appreciate

Department of Banking Technology and Finance (BTF) was established in September 2015 under the School of Business of the University. It is highly professional, talented and motivated enterprising department whose ambitions are noticeable in their teaching, research, community engagements and above all industry presence. The department has developed the following Programmes;

The accountancy and Accounting Information Systems (AAIS) is one of the largest department in the University in terms of students and lecturer numbers as well as courses run in the Institution. The Department used to be called Accountancy Department in the hey-days of the Polytechnic era and the new name is in line with the trend in accountancy profession and needs at the industry, where the information technology and communication are ruling now.
